According to Pauline Weston Thomas of Fashion-Era (thanks LauraLo for this resource!), purple is the “it” color this fall…which is great for me, because I have some fabulous plummy fabrics just aching to be stitched up.
I offer the following into evidence:

From left to right, top to bottom: Gorgeous Anni Kuan mauve/plum woven (for slacks), deep plum woven (enough for suit), puckered Baby Lulu plaid, pink/plum swirly onionskin, crepe backed satin (enough for skirt and cami top) and complementary olives - dark olive woven (for jeans or jacket) and water repellent fabric for trench coat!
In the next few days I’ll be posting my collection of black & white fabrics, my reds and the browns…I’ll be looking for feedback on what fabrics to include in my fall wardrobe, so comment away!
(And I’m happy to provide additional photos, if different configurations of fabrics help to narrow down the choices.)
